Pre Moving Leads

Privacy Policy

Version 0.12 (draft) · Last updated September 3, 2026

Pre Moving Leads (“we,” “us”) operates premovingleads.com, a data service that provides residential moving-related leads to home-service businesses such as moving companies. This policy explains what information we collect, where it comes from, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers three groups: consumers whose household’s property appears in our data products, customers who subscribe to the service, and visitors to this website.

Information in our data products, and where it comes from

Our data products describe residential properties that are listed for sale, under contract, or recently sold, together with the county owner of record when a public record confidently matches the address. Mail produced from our data uses a person name from that owner-of-record when a verified match exists; LLCs, trusts, and corporations mail as Current Resident (or Current Resident when no match exists, or when the home just sold). An owner-of-record name is the name on the county record — not a claim that this person lives at the property. Companies and trusts still appear under their legal names on the lead. The listing information comes from publicly available real-estate listings (for example, active for-sale listings and their published attributes and photos). Owner-of-record names and owner mailing addresses come from county public records.

The categories of information we collect and deliver are:

  • Property information: the property address, listing status and dates, list price, size and attributes, and two signals we derive from the listing’s published photos — whether the home appears lived-in, and an estimated move size.
  • Contact information obtained by skip trace, only at a customer’s request: when a customer asks us to skip trace a specific property (by clicking the option on that property, or by a filter the customer set), we obtain from a third-party skip-trace provider the telephone numbers and email addresses associated with the property’s owner of record, together with the provider’s indicators for each number (Do-Not-Call registry status, TCPA status, known-litigator and deceased indicators). This information is stored for up to 30 days and is delivered only to the customer who requested it, together with the date it was obtained; after 30 days a customer may request it again, and it is never obtained for a property no customer asked about.
  • Owner-of-record information from county public records: recorded owner name(s), owner type, and (when different from the property) the owner’s tax-mailing address. Stored only when the record matches the exact address.

Apart from the skip-trace category above, we do not collect phone numbers or email addresses of consumers; we do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation from devices, biometric information, or other sensitive personal information categories; and we do not knowingly collect information about people under 16. We do not store listing photos — only the derived signals above.

How we use and share this information

We compile property records and matching county owner-of-record names into leads and deliver them to our paying business customers, who use them to market their own services (for example, a moving company mailing a household that has just listed its home). A property address associated with a listing event, and an owner-of-record name tied to that address, may constitute personal information in some states; where they do, this delivery may be a “sale” or “sharing” under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the categories involved are the property and owner-of-record information described above. We require customers to use the data for their own internal marketing only, and we prohibit resale and republication.

We do not sell or share customer account data or website visitor data.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what information we have relating to your household’s property, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We honor these requests regardless of the state you live in.

To exercise any of these rights, use our privacy request form (or the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of this site). We will confirm receipt and respond within 45 days. We may ask you to verify your connection to the property address in the request — we use this only to protect against fraudulent requests, and we use the contact details you give us on the form only to process and reply to your request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

When we honor an opt-out or deletion request, the property is suppressed across our entire platform: it stops appearing in every customer’s future deliveries.

Customer and account information

When a business subscribes, we collect account details (name, email, organization) through our authentication provider, and billing details through our payment processor (Stripe). We never store full card numbers. We use this information to operate the service, deliver purchased data, provide support, and bill subscriptions.

Cookies and website data

This site uses essential cookies only — session cookies for signed-in customers and payment session cookies during checkout. We do not run advertising trackers or sell website visitor data.

Retention

Property records refresh on a rolling basis while a property is in an active listing or recent-sale window, and age out of delivery when no longer current. We retain suppression records indefinitely so an opt-out stays effective, and we retain delivery audit records for at least five years.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to authenticated systems and personnel, and customer-facing delivery surfaces are authenticated and scoped to each customer’s subscription.

Changes and contact

We will post any material changes to this policy on this page with a new effective date. For questions, use the contact form.
